Tee Shirts are In!

If you are interested in a tee shirt, they have come in. Pam will have them at Ascension & Holy Trinity Church on 10/20/18 if you'd like to stop in and purchase one. She has the bright green with blue lettering (see picture in sidebar) and also a tan with maroon lettering. Shirts are sized for men, and they ran true to size the last time we ordered. Remember, you are not required to buy a shirt in order to make visits.

Anderson/Eastgate members: If you are interested, let me know your size and color choice. I will arrange to get them from Pam next month. I'll pay her and you can pay me. If you would like to check out a couple of sizes, just give the sizes you'd like to see and I'll bring them. (Diana Dawson dbd0002003@gmail.com)

Teams Needed

Nielsen has requested that we bring in 3 teams for a mental health awareness that they are having for their employees on December 4th from 2:00 - 4:00 pm. Nielsen is located in the Columbia Plaza building downtown at 250 East Fifth Street, Suite 9. If you are able to attend, please contact Bill Fox (Contact Information).

Edge Teen Center has requested that we bring in  some teams on December 17th at 3:00 pm. The center is located at 7568 Wyandot Lane in Liberty Twp. near Lakota East High School. If you are able to attend, please contact Bill Fox (Contact Information).

Volunteer Opportunities

Ronald McDonald House has approved our therapy teams to visit their Clifton location. Please contact Pam Fox if you are interested in this opportunity to visit with the families that are living there while their children are receiving treatment at Children's Hospital. (Contact Information)

Glendale Place, 779 Glendale Milford Road would like to have an additional team visit their facility on Friday. If you are interested, you can contact Darlene in their activity department at 513-771-1779. Mariann Moster and Cali are currently visiting on Wednesday and she was asked to reach out to see if we could find an additional team. Please let John Connor know if you are able to visit, or if you would like more information or to have him contact the facility.

The Crossroads Center is a mental health and addiction treatment center in Cincinnati that is interested in establishing a pet therapy program with Canines for Christ teams. Crossroads Center is located at 311 Martin Luther King Dr., East. Pam and Bill Fox and John Connor have met with their staff and toured their facility. We would like to find some teams that can visit. For additional information, please contact Bill or Pam (Contact Information).

Central Parke Alzheimer's Special Care Center, 7495 Central Parker Blvd., Mason, OH 45240 has requested a team to make visits at their facility. Any day of the week works for them, but the best time is probably 10:00 am. I assume that visits could also be made on the weekend. If we get more than one team that has an interest, perhaps you could rotate weeks if unable to commit to weekly visits. Please contact John Connor (jconnortx@yahoo.com) if you are interested in visiting at this facility.

Please watch our Facebook page for weather related updates regarding our class schedule.  Cancellations will also be listed on the Fox19 Closings & Delays website.
