They are looking for therapy teams to visit with individuals served by Envision, to provide support, comfort, and positive engagement This is a wonderful opportunity to create meaningful connections through the presence of therapy dogs.

Day City Hospice Pet Therapy Program
Ongoing Need
Day City Hospice is currently seeking certified pet therapy teams to provide companion visits for patients in Hamilton, Middletown, and Springboro communities. These visits take place in assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and private homes.
No prior hospice experience is required. Volunteers will complete a background check, TB test, and drug screening (all provided at no cost), along with a flexible orientation to get started.
If you and your therapy dog are looking for a meaningful way to serve, this is a wonderful opportunity to make a difference.

Heartland Hospice Center
Location: Cincinnati areas
This is to visit with patients in hospice care. There is an onboarding process and the coordinator would get volunteer teams connected with specific patients. Requires up to date vaccination records & orientation process. If you are interested, please contact us at infocontact@caninesforchrist.org

Communication Center
Clermont County 911 (Batavia, OH)
Kenton County 911 (Independence, KY)
There are a couple communication centers that dispatch for 911 calls. They are welcoming volunteers to visit. Hours are flexible they are open 24/7 (excluding shift change at 6am & 6pm).

Queen City Hospice Service
Locations: Westside, Eastside, West Chester, Hamilton, & Mason Areas
Visits with patients and groups at a variety of of locations. Looking for a few consistent volunteers.
There is an onboarding and orientation process (covered by the Queen City Hospice Service). Visit schedules are flexible weekdays & weekends. If you are interested, please contact us at infocontact@caninesforchrist.org
Willow Knolls
Location: Middletown
This would be a volunteer opportunity at a nursing home. First half of the visit would be with specific residents and the other half of the visit would be in a group session. Volunteer visits are based on scheduling (flexible times & days). Looking for a consistent few people to volunteer.

Canine Social Events
Pups and Painting
Wednesday, August 12| 6:30pm
Ready to paint with your pup? Check out our newest event, Pups and Painting which will be hosted right at our new building!
Come for a night of casual conversation and socialization with other members as you make a painting with your pup. No artistic experience is needed - this class will be led by a local artist who will help you create your very own masterpiece with your pup that you can take home and display for years to come. We will also serve light refreshments during the event.
Come prepared to have fun and relax after a long day - no supplies needed! We will provide the canvas and art supplies for you to create your painting. All registration fees collected for this event will go directly towards our non-profit organization to continue providing affordable dog training and therapy classes for the community.
