Heartland Hospice Center
Location: Cincinnati areas
This is to visit with patients in hospice care. There is an onboarding process and the coordinator would get volunteer teams connected with specific patients. Requires up to date vaccination records & orientation process. If you are interested, please contact us at infocontact@caninesforchrist.org

Communication Center
Clermont County 911 (Batavia, OH)
Kenton County 911 (Independence, KY)
There are a couple communication centers that dispatch for 911 calls. They are welcoming volunteers to visit. Hours are flexible they are open 24/7 (excluding shift change at 6am & 6pm).

Queen City Hospice Service
Locations: Westside, Eastside, West Chester, Hamilton, & Mason Areas
Visits with patients and groups at a variety of of locations. Looking for a few consistent volunteers.
There is an onboarding and orientation process (covered by the Queen City Hospice Service). Visit schedules are flexible weekdays & weekends. If you are interested, please contact us at infocontact@caninesforchrist.org.
Willow Knolls
Location: Middletown
This would be a volunteer opportunity at a nursing home. First half of the visit would be with specific residents and the other half of the visit would be in a group session. Volunteer visits are based on scheduling (flexible times & days). Looking for a consistent few people to volunteer.

These therapy dog visits will be during a regular school day. Seeing the dogs help give staff and students a mental break We've received a lot of positive feedback from the school. A monthly commitment is not required.

We’re kicking off the new year with a heartwarming opportunity to connect with students at Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy! Volunteers are invited to join two special sessions where students will learn about therapy dogs and enjoy some calming canine companionship during their school day. We’re looking for 2–3 volunteers per session to share their experiences with therapy dogs and facilitate student interactions. Each session will include a group of 18 students

Canine Social Events
Hamilton Turkey Trot Expo - Volunteers Needed!
Saturday, Novembe 22nd: 8am -2pm
Location: The Benison Event Center
100 South 3rd St, Hamilton, OH 45011
The Hamilton Turkey Trot is a 5k and 10k race that occurs on Thanksgiving day, but this year they are having a Packet Pickup Expo the Saturday before the race and Canines for Christ will have a vendor booth at the expo! The expo is from 8am - 2pm, but volunteers do not need to stay the duration of the expo. We have 2-hour shifts available for volunteers to sign-up at the link below. Volunteers at the booth will be there to spread the word about our classes and the work we do as a nonprofit therapy dog organization. Please note, the event asks that only humans attend, so please have your furry friends stay home for this one!
