Heartland Hospice Center
Location: Cincinnati areas
This is to visit with patients in hospice care. There is an onboarding process and the coordinator would get volunteer teams connected with specific patients. Requires up to date vaccination records & orientation process. If you are interested, please contact us at infocontact@caninesforchrist.org

Communication Center
Clermont County 911 (Batavia, OH)
Kenton County 911 (Independence, KY)
There are a couple communication centers that dispatch for 911 calls. They are welcoming volunteers to visit. Hours are flexible they are open 24/7 (excluding shift change at 6am & 6pm).

Queen City Hospice Service
Locations: Westside, Eastside, West Chester, Hamilton, & Mason Areas
Visits with patients and groups at a variety of of locations. Looking for a few consistent volunteers.
There is an onboarding and orientation process (covered by the Queen City Hospice Service). Visit schedules are flexible weekdays & weekends. If you are interested, please contact us at infocontact@caninesforchrist.org.
Willow Knolls
Location: Middletown
This would be a volunteer opportunity at a nursing home. First half of the visit would be with specific residents and the other half of the visit would be in a group session. Volunteer visits are based on scheduling (flexible times & days). Looking for a consistent few people to volunteer.

Mt Healthy North Elementary School

Visit:Thursday, October 23rd 10am-11am
These therapy dog visits will be during a regular school day. Seeing the dogs help give staff and students a mental break We've received a lot of positive feedback from the school. A monthly commitment is not required.

Trunk-or-Treat: Mt Healthy North Elementary School

Visit:Thursday, October 30th 5:30pm-7:00pm
We’re gearing up for a huge Trunk or Treat event at Mt. Healthy Elementary School, and we’d love to see if any teams would be interested in joining the fun!
This is one of the school’s biggest community events of the year, and we’re looking for groups to host decorated trunks, hand out treats, and help make the evening magical for the kids and families.

Canine Social Events
Cause 4 Paws - Volunteers Needed!
Sunday, October 26th: 11am - 3pm

Cause 4 Paws is a dog-friendly fall event with fun for the whole family. We will have a booth at this event to promote our mission, spread the word about our classes, and the healing power of therapy dogs. Whether you want to sign up for one, 2-hour shift, or the entire event, we appreciate all our volunteers and our furry friends. Feel free to stop by our booth at the event even if you don’t plan to volunteer!

And don’t forget to dress your dog in their best Halloween costume! There will be a dog costume contest, trick dog contest, adoptable dogs, and fun games for everyone. Admission and parking are free.
“Pups and Pucks” Cincinnati Cyclones Game

Please join us for a dog-friendly Cincinnati Cyclones hockey game and catch up with other members and their pups! The Cincinnati Cyclones “Pups and Pucks” night welcomes dogs and their owners to enjoy a family-friendly game, which will feature fun, dog-themed activities during intermissions. Also feel free to dress your pup in a costume for the night before Halloween. Don’t have a dog right now - no worries! You can still attend the game and enjoy all the fun.
Our group will be seated in Section 216 of the arena. If you would like to be seated in the same rows as other group members, please purchase tickets starting in Row A of section 216. Once Row A seats are taken, you can move back to rows B, C, etc. as they are taken, so we can remain seated together.
Feel free to bring your family and friends to the game as well to enjoy all the fun with affordable ticket prices. Both humans and pups will need a ticket to the game! Please note, online ticket sales using the link below include a processing fee for each ticket. If you would like to avoid processing fees for your tickets, you may alternatively purchase your tickets by calling the Cincinnati Cyclones at: 513-421-2709. When calling, please ask for account representative Nathan Reed and let him know you are with the group, CFC of Southwest Ohio in order to receive the group promotion rate and select your seats in the same section and rows.
