**During the summer, some volunteer opportunities decrease. However, there are still facilities you can visit. Stay tuned for more details on dates and visits as the school year approaches.

Mt Healthy North Elementary School

Visit: Thursday, October 17th 10am-11am

 

These visits will be during a regular school day. Seeing the dogs help give staff and students a mental break We've received a lot of positive feedback from the school. Xavier Jesuit Academy

Shift 2: 2-3pm

 

Xavier Academy is inviting us to have our therapy dogs give the students and staff a mental health break during this day.

Amity Elementary School

Communication Center 

Clermont County 911 (Batavia, OH)

Kenton County 911 (Independence, KY)

There are a couple communication centers that dispatch for 911 calls. They are welcoming volunteers to visit. Hours are flexible they are open 24/7 (excluding shift change at 6am & 6pm).

Hamilton Developmental Disabilities Services

Location: OTR 

There is a resident that is looking to get connected with a therapy dog.This volunteering opportunity has a flexible scheduling.

Queen City Hospice Service

Locations: Westside, Eastside, West Chester, Hamilton, & Mason Areas

Visits with patients and groups at a variety of of locations. Looking for a few consistent volunteers. 

There is an onboarding and orientation process (covered by the Queen City Hospice Service). Visit schedules are flexible weekdays & weekends. If you are interested, please contact us at infocontact@caninesforchrist.org.


Willow Knolls

Location: Middletown

This would be a volunteer opportunity at a nursing home. First half of the visit would be with specific residents and the other half of the visit would be in a group session. Volunteer visits are based on scheduling (flexible times & days). Looking for a consistent few people to volunteer.
